Here at Marti & Co, we have a tendency to focus more on the ladies within the bridal party … and for good reason! There are usually more pretty things involved in outfitting a bride and her maids, but we decided it was high time we took a closer look at the men.
First off, ignore any rules. Following some guidelines and your own preferences, yes, but never any rules. This post is a collection of our best ideas for creating a handsome look for the men in the wedding party. We’re here to give you simple tips to make your time as a groom less complicated and even, fun. With these easy style tips, you and your groomsmen will be well dressed -saving you all the time and money! More importantly, your partner will love your look!
And your wedding will go down as the Best Wedding of All Time (B.W.O.A.T)!!!
Here are style tips and our favorite looks for the groom and his groomsmen.
Before we start though, let’s share a few tips on your overall look for your wedding day. Choose good shoes – every woman/partner notices their guy’s shoes first. Pay attention to the details – shoes, the knot of your tie, and maybe even adding a hat. When shopping, choose quality fabrics for your suit, tux, vest, and shirt. And most of all, put some thought into your hairstyle and if you have a beard, give it a lot of love for your wedding day. Stay away from new hairstyles and beard styles. We’re not advocates of trying a new hairstyle for your wedding day. Save the urge to try a new style for another day. Spending some time and thought on your wedding day look will ensure your picture ready for your big day.
Navy or Grey Suits
Navy or Grey Suits plus cognac-colored shoes. A slight twist on the traditional look that has a more laid back feel. Also, consider a custom suit for a unique look and a perfect fit.
Vests
Vests. This look is great because it can still be a more formal look, but is less hot and a bit more comfortable during the summer.
Mismatch
Mismatch. Just like the big trend of mismatched bridesmaid dresses, you can do the same with your look and your groomsmen. Great for a more relaxed, boho wedding.
Jacket-less
Jacket-less. Like the vests, this a more relaxed look and is great for a less formal affair. You can choose whether you still want the guys to wear ties or bow ties, and even add in suspenders. And yes, for suspenders, especially a leather personalized set for the groom!
Bow ties
Bow ties. These are still having a big moment! They make for a very dapper look and can be personalized via fabric choices and colors. Bonus: we can do that for you here at Marti & Co.!
Also, as a bonus, always do funky socks. It makes for a great photo-op and lets the men show their personality!
And no socks are also a great choice, especially for a Summer wedding. Coordinate the shoe style and color for a stylish no sock look.
Have fun selecting your look for the guys in your wedding. They are sure to like one of the looks we shared here. And we’d love it if you share this blog post on your own social media. Click this link:https://martiandcompany.com/groom-his-guys/
