Top 10 Photos of 2019 Blog Post Marti & Co.

As the decade is closing, I can’t believe I’m saying a decade. I remember back in the year 2000, I felt the need to do something monumental to close the century. So, I sent cards to all of my friends thanking them for taking the time to be in my life. One of these cards went to my now-husband. We had met in high school at the local roller rink then dated for about 6 months as high school sweethearts before our paths headed different directions.

To keep this simple and not too sentimental I’ve decided to share our top 10 favorite photos of the year from Marti & Co. I’m so grateful to everyone that has been part of this incredible journey that has resulted in Marti & Co. Here are the pictures and a few thoughts about each one.

Marti & Co. Bridal Studio
I had so much fun redesigning the Bridal Shop this year. With the new 2020 collection more space was needed. You’ll now find Mother of the Bride and Flower Girl accessories in the Boutique on the Porch.
Marti & Co. Luxe Garter Collection
This Something Blue garter was added to our new Luxe garter collection this year. And another reason why this photo made it to the top 10 is that I finally found a prop that works to display the beautiful details of the laces used in this collection. This photo was my best photo of the class.
This is one of my favorite photos for 3 reasons: my design for the cape turned out exactly as I envisioned -a plus for a designer; I loved working with my team on this photoshoot – Nick, Ashten, Pam & Odette; and the location – Vesterheim Museum has significance for our community and our family – our son, Curt worked at this Museum. And to add one more thought and I love doors, especially green doors.

Class at Marti & CO
I was honored to host a class at my Shop for this lovely young girl. She made a headpiece to go with her skating costume. Then she played dress-up in the Bridal Studio. We had so much fun I decided to add 1-on-1 classes to my Shop offerings.
Kelli & I saying good-bye for awhile at Reagan National Airport. She started work for the United Nations in Gore, Chad Africa. I will miss her both as my daughter and also, as our volunteer blog writer and social media expert.

We had a short break from the Shop in August for a family trip to the Grand Tetons. Make the Grand Tetons a “must-see” for your family.
