This is a way fun and easy project to complete in an hour or so. My parents remodeled the exterior of their home a few years ago. I luckily discovered that they weren’t restoring the gingerbread trim. I’ve always loved this trim and asked for it. That’s how this DIY project came about. Here’s the supply list and directions.
•1 piece of wood gingerbread trim about 24-30 inches long and wide enough to add fancy knobs.
•5 fancy knobs ( I bought mine at Hobby Lobby)
•1 sawtooth hanger
•A power drill or a hammer and a nail
•A marking pen
#1: Mark the areas where you’d like to put each knob
#2: Drill a hole in each area that you marked x 5 so there’s one hole for each knob for those using a hammer and a nail – use the nail to nail a starter hole in each of the 5 marked areas
#3: Screw one of the fancy knobs in each of the five holes
#4: Add the sawtooth hanger to the back of the gingerbread trim at the top
#5: Wahlah! Your ready to hang your accessories.
